One of series of posters I’m working on featuring my scenic shots of some of America’s favorite small harbors.
The town of Barnstable on Cape Cod was my home for many years. And I often headed for the many harbors, especially those nearby to shoot. Hyannis has one of the busiest small harbors, especially with all the ferries to the islands coming and going. It’s one of my favorites.
Occasionally, at the right time, you can find a quiet view in between the usual bustling pleasure craft, fishing boats, ferries and cruise ships. This is one of my favorites at one of those times.
The lighthouse is the iconic landmark for the Inner Harbor. It’s a privately owned replica of the Brant Point LIght on Nantucket, sometimes called the Daisy Bluff Light, after the street it’s on.
