Beautiful capture of the droplets on the flower. I lime the soft lighting too.I may have cropped the left side in just a bit and a tad off the drop so ones eyes focus center more?

Not sure what I can share. I took many different pics of this flower and this ended up as the best of them. I think the way I cropped it was what gave the best result.

I took this in my front yard! Several of these flowers come up each year and I just love them.Time
I took this picture a little after sunrise. It rained very early in the morning allowing for the water droplets to perfectly hang from the flower.Lighting
The early morning sun was perfect for what I was trying to capture, the elegance of the flower!Equipment
I took this shot handheld, but I was leaning on my railing for support. I used my Nikon D5200 with the Nikor 200-500mm lense. My wife got me this lense for my birthday about a week earlier and I thought that this would give me a perfect opportunity to pratice with this lense.Inspiration
A combination of things lead to this picture. First, I just love these flowers with their beautiful colors and just their elegance. The blooms only last a few days so when I woke up that morning and I saw the water droplets on the flowers, I just knew that this is the perfect time to take some pictures. Not to mention that it gave me the perfect excuse to grab my new lense and practice with it.Editing
I didn't do much to this picture. I did crop it some so I could get the larger water droplet placed just right. I then did some minor adjustments with Lightroom. Mainly just a little sharpness and contrast. I didn't have to do much noise reduction, if any.In my camera bag
Typically I carry two camera bodies and a couple extra batteries and memory cards. I also carry a variety of lenses ranging from 18mm up to 300mm. The lense I used with this picture is too large to fit in my backpack, so I only take it with me when I know I plan to use it. I also cary a variety of filters and lense cleaners.Feedback
Take many pictues! I bet I took 50 or more pictures of these flowers. I posted a couple of them, but this one is by far the best one I took in my opinion. If you can, don't be afraid to try various settings on your camera and also different lenses. I highly recommend that you shoot in raw format too. That way you have so much more control over what you can do with the photo in post processing. Practice! Practice! Practice! That is what I still do and probably will do for a very long time! Most importantly though is to just have fun!
