Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken right off my front porch, I'd just received a new macro adapter for my Sony a300s 50mm lens and went outside to give it a try on flowers and such. Of what I took that day this was my favorite. I was able to achieve what I wanted, only focusing on a portion of the grass stalk head.

Time

This was taken about 10:00 AM

Lighting

It was a slightly overcast day, partly sunny at times which gave a good solid and slightly gold color.

Equipment

Used my old faithful Sony a300 with the Sony 50 mm 1.4 lens and an inexpensive brand thread on macro lens. It wouldn't let me include the adapters name because the entry form thought it was a misspelled word. It was a hand held shot.

Inspiration

It was a day of experimentation with a new lens adapter.

Editing

The only editing done was to crop it as an 8 X 10

In my camera bag

I have 3 cameras I use, each has it's own case. Depending on what I'm doing determines which I take. For portrait work I still use my old Sony a300, I had replaced that with a Sony a55 which I used for a few years but after I purchased my mirrorless Sony a7II that became my spare backup. Depending on the camera and what I'm shooting I might bring along a monopod or a tripod.

Feedback

With macro it's all about experimentation, what works for one shot won't for another.
