This photo was taken along the back roads in Osoyoos, British Columbia, Canada. We were traveling through and this old car caught my eye.Time
We were driving just past the crack of dawn, the sun barely peeking over the mountains. I ended up waiting a few extra minutes for the sun to rise a little more.Lighting
The lighting was all natural as the sun peeked over the mountain in the early morning hours.Equipment
This was shot with an EOS Canon Rebel T4i with a EFS 18-55mm lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I am a huge fan of old and abandoned vehicles, as well as the history and stories they can tell. The patchwork look to it has a "Frankenstein's Monster" feel to it. So I had to capture it.Editing
I simply just left the background grayscale, while leaving the original colors on the car. I lightened the image to make the colors stand out more.In my camera bag
I always carry my Canon Rebel T4i with a Canon EFS 18-55mm lens. I also have my Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens and a Sigma EF-610 DG Super Flash.Feedback
Just keep your eyes open for a great shot. I almost drove past this car and would have missed a great opportunity.
