Taken at Chester zoo in the butterfly section. I was quite crowded so had to wait for the right shot simply because the heliconids dont settle for long periods.Time

I first became acquainted with Heliconid butterflies at the Worldwide Butterfly shop in Bourton on the Water in the 1960s and the owner gave me some caterpillars to grow on, which I did until they emerged from their pupae. I have been fascinated with tropical moths and butterflies ever since.Editing
