Location
I took this photo at Tanjung Talok, a traditional fishing village in Bintan, Kepulauan Riau, IndonesiaTime
It was taken at dusk, precisely at 18:15PM, 2016-04-18, When the sun just began to set. I used a technique I’ve learned and become my favorite, long exposure.Lighting
Once the atmosphere turn dimmer, I would like to capture the bridge/harbor platform in a vividly clear form and somewhat dramatic, with the shade of the sky mirrored in the water, to add color to the photo. That is why I chose the long exposure technique.Equipment
I work with Nikon D7000 with a Tokina 14-24mm F4 lens and Hoya filter variable density 3-400 , and a tripod.Inspiration
I was working on a project called “satu Komposisi” (single Composition) which sees me taking photos with the same composition at various place and time, with the objects being street, pier, etc.Editing
Yes, I did. At first I took the photo raw, so later I could enhance the darker parts and then boost the details entirely, and finally enrich the coloring. In my camera bag
I see myself as a landscaper, so my key gear would be wide lens Tokina 14-24mm F4, then a lens kit 18-55mm F3.5, several filters (CPL, ND and GND), couple of extra memory and last but not least, a tripod, since I love the long exposure technique.Feedback
I would say to watch the composition, be free to exploring with low angle. Also always make sure the location and the weather is to your favor to make a good photo. But the main principal is to never stop learning from your mistake.
