Even though this photo was taken a couple of years ago (January 31, 2013) it is one that I will forever hold close to my heart.

This photo was taken at the funeral of my uncle, an Air Force veteran and retired police officer. So bitterly cold that January afternoon, my tears froze as they rolled down my cheeks. I honestly do not remember looking through the viewfinder with my eye. I only remember holding my camera close to my stomach as I captured this moment.

He too, had a love of photography and gave me my 1st camera. I have no doubt he would have loved this photo.
