Behind The Lens

Location
This is Shell-Haus in Berlin.
Time
It was in the late afternoon.
Lighting
It was a summer day, partly cloudy as you can see.
Equipment
It was shot on a Nikon D810 and Tamron 17-35mm. The camera was on a regular travel tripod.
Inspiration
The unique curved facade of the building offers many different perspectives for architectural shots. I went for a diagonal framing.
Editing
Yes, actually this is not a long exposure shot by default. I took photos for a timelapse video and later I merged them all to create a long exposure version.
In my camera bag
I only take one lens with me, a wide-angle if I shot landscape or architecture or a 50mm for portraits. I plan my shootings before so I know I will take.
Feedback
If you are aiming for an architectural shot, try to check the building and the environment in google maps before going there. When you are there, walk around the building and check different angles before taking any shots. I try to use my DSLR like an SLR, meaning that I have limited number of shots. That makes me focus on the best options.
