Location
I took this while visiting Rotterdam in The Netherlands. The Cube Houses are a unique complex of homes. Each cube and column is an individual home. The building with the upside down windows that's partially visible between the columns is called "The Pencil. It's a residential building as well.Time
I believe it was mid-afternoon..Lighting
It was the natural light in the courtyard in the middle of the complex of cube houses. No additional lighting.Equipment
I was using an old Mavica FD digital camera. No tripod, no flash.Inspiration
I admired the positioning of the cubes, columns and the upside down windows on the other building. Wanted to document it so I could show it to friends and family when i got back home.Editing
I didn't feel any post-processing was needed. In my camera bag
These days I'm using a pocket sized camera. A Canon SX720HD. I sometimes carry a monopod or a small tripod. Or, if the camera is at home, I'll use my iPhone.Feedback
Best advice is to keep your eyes open, pay attention to the lighting and look for interesting details or perspectives.
