Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my bedroom when my dog jumped up on the bed for the first time. He knows he was not allowed to go on the bed so this is the look I caught when I turned around and snapped a picture

Time

This was in the morning after the children were sent off to school and I was taking out my new lens to test it out for indoor use.

Lighting

This is all natural window light coming in from the left.

Equipment

I used my Canon 70D with a 50mm prime at 1.8, ISO 6400, SS of 1/1250.

Inspiration

I was looking to try out my new 50mm lens indoors and see how it stood to high ISO.

Editing

I was just learning more about photoshop at the time, so there was minimal editing in photoshop. I mainly did tonal corrections and sharpening.

In my camera bag

I normally carry my 50mm prime, my 24mm prime and my basic 18-135 zoom lens.

Feedback

Do not be scared to up your ISO in certain situations. I would have not gotten such a pure image such as this one if I did not max out my ISO.
