The line that cuts across the frame of this picture is where the erstwhile Berlin Wall stood before it got taken down in 1989. It divided a city based on its political masters and within a couple of generations the cultural divide between the East and West was so stark that it was difficult to believe that it was one city sometime back. In this frame, the gentleman crosses the wall border to go to his hotel in Potzdamer Platz, whereas 25 years back, it would have got him a bullet in his back for trying to do so…
