This photo, of all the photos I've ever taken, holds the most profound meaning to me. Initially, I shot this image to show the contrast of weathered, leathery skin to the delicate newborn hand. As I sat and looked at it, I began thinking of how this baby has had zero life experiences. So many years ahead that will be filled with trials and adventures, while the elderly hand has already made it through. It is a visual foreshadowing that no matter what the child encounters, he can weather the storm.
