Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in the town of Locust Grove Oklahoma. This monster became the tornado that devastated Joplin Mo. Everyone else was in the basement, and would come out only to yell at me to get in there. I could not pass this up. This one in particular, really reminds me of the Disney Zeus from that movie cartoon that was made many years ago. (mind went blank on name lol)

Time

This was right at sunset, as you can see, all the oranges that really lights up those crazy clouds. It was coming so quickly, that I did not take time to adjust settings, or anything I would usually do, because I really really wanted to get that photo the way it looked: right here.

Lighting

The natural lighting of the sunset was ideal for this shot.

Equipment

I have a Canon EO 5 Rebel SX. Its a bit old now, but still does the job.

Inspiration

I love storms. I mean I LOVE storms! So I HAD to get photos of this one. It looked like it would be epic. Of course I could not know what would happen with this once it got to Joplin. BTW We had Just moved a day before this FROM Joplin. We did not even get to go back to get the rest of our things, because, they were not there any longer.

Editing

Nope, as I stated before, no time to do any adjusting. Just snapping.

In my camera bag

A few lenses, thats bout it.

Feedback

Make sure you are near, VERY near a storm shelter. *wink*
