Location
My brother visited me in Chicago and we were walking around Magnificent Mile when we saw him on a street corner. We were photographing the experience of the city and this certainly felt like an important part of truly experiencing a city and its real people.Time
This was around early afternoon on a sunny summer day.Lighting
It was a sunny day so there was a lot of natural light, contrast, and shadows. This really intensified the grotesqueness of the situation.Equipment
I used my Nikon D750 with a 24-120 lens. Hand held and natural lighting.Inspiration
My brother and I were walking around Chicago trying to capture the real city from the worst to its best parts. This includes its people and those less fortunate.Editing
I dont like over editing my photos especially when trying to portray something in its purest form. With that in mind I only did minor adjustments of lighting, contrast, and color correction.In my camera bag
I always carry my Nikon D750, 24-120 and tilt shift lenses. Occasionally I also bring my FE2.Feedback
I guess my best advice is just to be observant and capture what you think is pure and true, what you want others to see, and what you think describes your idea.
