Spent a few early mornings in a field with these hares in Feb-March. Pleased with the lighting on this one.

Location
This was taken in the middle of a 100 acre field at a local farm in Norfolk where there are around 10 hares running around.Time
This was taken in March this year around 9AM.Lighting
The morning sun had just broken through the cloud and lit the Hare perfectly for a few seconds as it stood still, before running off at 100MPH!!Equipment
Canon 7D Mk2, on a tripods. 500m lens with a 1.4 converter. Also a fishing stool and a camo net covering me as I tried to blend into the field from 6AM to 10AM so the Hares got used to me being there. It was about 1 deg C as well!Inspiration
I had seen the Hares running around and was trying to get some action shots and boxing shots. This one appeared from nowhere quite close and wasn't aware of me at first, and when I saw the light hit its face I had to get the photo.Editing
I only cropped it slightly for a better composition and adjusted the exposure slightly. In my camera bag
24/100 lens, remote shutter release, flash, spare batteries, lens cloth. Then I have camera and 500 lens on a tripod and carry over my shoulder.Feedback
Keep down wind and very still and covered in a field as Hares are very sensitive to smell. If the Hares see you arrive, get settled down and after about half an hour they will return and you will hopefully get the shots you want. Lastly, don't drink a cup of tea in the morning before you set out as there won't be any opportunity for a 'toilet visit' once on site without breaking cover!!
