Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken in Lembeh Strait a mecca for macro photography in Indonesia my favorite destination for macro.
Time
Any time you just need to choose one because they leave by groups, you can find 50 or 100 Banggai on Sea urchins or anemones, male broods the eggs in his mouth for up to 30 days, this picture show a juvenile one.
Lighting
Be patient because they always move.
Equipment
For this picture i use a Nikon D700 105mm f/2.8 ƒ/16 1/250s ISO 200 and 2 Inon strobes Z240 on minimum power.
Inspiration
I see them every day when i go diving and i just shoot when there is something interesting, in this picture you can see the anemone is green most of the time anemones are brown.
Editing
I did some exposure shadows and color adjustment and clean some backscatter.
In my camera bag
For diving always the same Nikon D700 or D800e , for macro 105mm 60mm and Wide angle lens Fisheye 16mm f/2.8D , 2 Ikelite DS161 Strobe and my underwater housing.
Feedback
My answers to people ask me how to get a nice picture is go diving and shoot there is no secrete just go shoot, yes you need to know your camera if you are lazy to read the manual there is lot of info on google ;)
