PISSED TO GRAY

Some things in life, are beautifully black and white. When something comes along and messes up the balance, the original becomes a muddy wash of ugly gray; once done, it can't be restored to white and black. We can't go back.

How many times should we forgive and forget, when someone betrays our trust and breaks our hearts?

How much should we expose ourselves to pain, because someone feels better if we join them in their rain?

How many times, should we ignore our subtle flinch, because we secretly fear someone's violent rage?

Can we.... could we.... should we.... would we.... dare we, run away?

All my life experiences have led me to believe some very sad things.

No matter what we say or do, nothing will ever be easy.
Nothing will ever be normal.
Nothing will ever be undoubted.
Nothing will ever be better than survivable.
Nothing will ever be untainted by the stink of the past.
Nothing will ever stop hurting, though we are promised it won't last.
For me-

Nothing will ever be a beautiful black and white.
