Location
I was down at Little lake in Peterborough Ontario Canada, for one of their outdoor summer concerts and fireworks held after the concert. It was still I think, early evening or late afternoon when I took this shot, just using my Cannon Power-shot camera. Thank you for asking! I love this photo because I love nature. This photo was taken about eight years ago now. All my inspiration comes from other photographers and my younger brother Jim who also loves photography. Thank you for the invite to share this little bit about my photo. Olive Goreglad.Time

The sun was coming from my left front side.Equipment
I used my Cannon Power-shot camera and I just used my hands and braced my arms close to me because I left my tripod at home with all of my other equipment. We were just there to enjoy the concert & fireworks with my granddaughter.Inspiration
I love nature and I find water very calming and tranquil to be around and I love nature. I live in Peterborough and I am so impressed how this city looks after their trees and waterfront parks. It nice to have a park like this so close that I can walk to. When I seen this Mallard duck just swimming around in front of me, I had to take his photo. I loved the way the green around his head changed color and that I was able to catch it. I was pleased to see it turned out okay and that I captured his iridescence on it's head.Editing
This photo is as it came from my camera. There was no post-processing at all done on this photo. In my camera bag
All I carry with me usually is a Manfrotto Tripod, a Minolta xg1 camera with a telephoto lens and a 50mm lens and a Sigma 300mm zoom lens and UBV polarizing lens in my camera bad but on this day, I only carried my smaller cannon power-shot camera.Feedback
The only advice I have for anyone that wants to take photo's is to make sure you focus on what your trying to capture and make sure that you use your camera. Don't let photography make you feel intimidated. If you have a camera, the only way to learn is to use your camera. As all things, it gets better with time. Good luck on your photography journey. We all start somewhere! Thank you and good luck on your journey!
