Location
This photo was taken in the Winter Garden of an Edwardian style glasshouse building that contains a range of plants from tropical, desert and sub-tropical regions Dunedin City, New ZealandTime
I took the photo just after midday on a beautiful sunny day in late Autumn.Lighting
It was a stunning day, clear bright blue skies, with full light filtering through the glasshouse roof.Equipment
I used my Canon PowerShot SX530 HS Aperture: 45/10 ISO: 640 Shutter Speed: 1/50 Focal Length: 13814/1000Inspiration
I saw the beautiful patterns formed by the outer leaves and spikes and of course looking down through the succulent could see all the different layers and geometric patterns and the way the light fell on the plant.Editing
No I do not believe in editing my photos except for some cropping on a few - enjoying photography in its natural form and using my eye to capture what I see around me and of course the camera. In my camera bag
I carry my Canon PowerShot SX530 HS with me most of the time and always have my iphone with me. I usually also carry a smaller pocket size camera but that has died on me. Need to buy another.Feedback
Always be prepared for any eventuality. A photo, scene, happening can occur at any time. The worst thing that can happen is missing the magic shot.
