I like the unusualness of this photo. The childs are are pin sharp in my opinion and it meets the brief. I also like the depth of field. Well done.

Location
This photo was taken in my home studio in California. It was part of a class I was taking at the time to push my creativity in my work.Time
This image was taken around 9am. I get some wonderful light through my sliding glass door in my kitchen at this time of morning.Lighting
This image is all natural light. The light through my glass door in the morning is so soft and pretty.Equipment
I shot this with my Canon 5d Miii. I used a 24-70 2.8 lens. No flash, natural light.Inspiration
I was completely inspired by my grandmothers sewing box. I never got to meet her and it the only thing of hers that I have. I have left it completely intact as to how she left it. The tread in the machine is from her box. She used to sew and I love to sew, so I really wanted to shoot something to honor her. I went shopping for a vintage sewing machine and found this beauty. The dress is a dress I made for my daughter. This image is very sentimental to me.Editing
Yes. This image is edited in photoshop. I do not use any actions or presets. It is edited completely by hand.In my camera bag
I always have my 24-70 2.8 on my camera. It is my go to lens. In my bag I always have my 85 1.8 and my 70-200 2.8. If I am out on a shoot I am constantly switching between these three lenses.Feedback
The best advice I can give is to not be afraid to fail. I spent a long time afraid to fail so I did not push myself. Failure is only a starting off point. I don’t enjoy failure but I know I can only grow from it.
