Location
The photo was taken at home. I am a self taught photographer and I have a true passion for macro. My husband gave me a wonderful bouquet and I could not resist to "see" the soul of this beautiful bud which attracted my attention among many other flowers.Time
I have taken this shot late morning, around 11:00 am, when the sun was just shining through the window we have above our dining table. This gave a really nice light for this shot.Lighting
I was able to take this shot inside my house without using any artificial light and this was amazing for me.This year, we had very cloudy weeks at beginning of summer and therefore this sunny summer morning was a true surprise for me.Equipment
This photo was shot with a Nikon D7200, a Sigma 105mm macro lens, three extension tubes and a tripod.Inspiration
On this beautiful summer morning and with this amazing light I was able to combine, with this shot, two of my biggest passions: flowers and macro photography.Editing
I always use Lightroom for some editing of my photos, but I try to keep them as natural as possible. In this photo I adjusted a bit the contrast, highlights, shadows and dehaze. In my camera bag
Generally, I have in my bag my Nikon D7200, a 50mm Nikon prime lens, a 70-300 Nikkor, a Sigma 20mm wide angle. Besides this, I always bring with me polarization filters for all my lenses, a 10 stop ND filter, a remote control and a tripod. I never bring in my bag my Sigma 105mm because I have my macro photography set up at home.Feedback
My advice is to try to see the beauty in the smallest things. Besides this, in macro photography you need to have a lot of patience: I always take a lot of time to set up the right light, background and composition. I don't have a lot of gear because I love to stimulate my creativity and invent my own backgrounds using common things that I find in my house.
