This is a photo of glacial water at different freezing temperatures at the Mendenhall Glacier near Juneau, Alaska. There is a whole range of emotions I feel when I see this photo because of the depth and dimension found in these different levels of thickness in the ice. Similar to when you imagine shapes or objects in clouds, I imagined this abstract art could be a puzzle with the pieces not yet combined. It also reminds me of the plateaus of many mountain ranges in the Western states in America. Just imagine you are standing on one of these plateaus overlooking the Grand Canyon. This image also looks like pieces of acrylic. What do you imagine in this frozen ice piece of art?
