I took this photo in Battersea Gardens in London.I had been wandering around London all day and just happened to stumble on this blanket of colour that really stood out from the green surrounds of the park.Time
I think it might have been midday or in the afternoon.Lighting
I wasn't intending anything particular, and to be perfectly honest, I was surprised when I saw the end result. The sky, and light in general, was a little drab and then my eyes were treated to this visual feast of standout colour.Equipment
I used my very trustworthy Canon EOS 1000D and zoomed in real close.Inspiration
I was on a photography "kick". Everything seemed and looked richer and when I saw the bright standout yellows with a dash of red in this blanket of flowers, it just warranted capturing.Editing
None whatsoever.In my camera bag
I generally carry my canon EOS 1000D plus an assortment of gadgets including 70-300mm lens and various other bits and pieces like batteries, iphone accessories and memory cards. Oh and a sandwich which really should be collected by a hazmat team.Feedback
My tips would be as follows: 1) be "present" (if you don't know what that means, look it up or ask me), 2) wander and, unless you have a specific target, let it be random, allow for "richness" and be okay with that outcome 3) enjoy your jaunt 4) allow yourself to have fun whilst looking for visual treasure 5) when you feel that wave of excitement knowing you have stumbled onto a very "special moment or scene" that absolutely warrants capturing, breathe first and then check your settings :-D 6) Change the world for the better with your photography
