Lovely rose. I do love capturing flowers, especially roses.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my sisters garden in Perth Australia.

Time

The time of day was early afternoon.

Lighting

It was a bright sunny afternoon, but the actual flower was in the shade, so there was plenty of non direct light available.

Equipment

I used my Nikon Coolpix P900.

Inspiration

This was one of the first photos I ever took with my P900. It was in effect an test of sorts as I was trying to get used to the camera and its' capabilities. I liked the rose and thought it would make a good picture. Beginners luck took care of the rest.

Editing

The picture is as it was taken. No processing or cropping what so ever.

In my camera bag

As I am essentially a beginner with my first "decent" camera, all I have is my Coolpix P900 with spare batteries and memory cards.

Feedback

If something catches you eye, take a picture. In fact get pictures from various angles and if possible different lighting conditions. I read and get tips from as many sources as possible.
