Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken in a small town in the north east of Iceland called Húsvík, at the time there was a town festival as well as a gathering of sailboaters that weekend.
Time
It's in the middle of the day around 13:08 (1:08pm) on july 22. 2011
Lighting
It was a cloudy and warm day, without rain.
Equipment
Camera used was Canon EOS 550D, Lens Canon EF-S55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS, Exposure 1/640 sec at f/5,6 and ISO 100
Inspiration
Looking out to sea and seeing all those magnificent vessels that where sailing, just had to be taken on.
Editing
Yes. I cropped the photo down due to small boats all around the vessel. and I had to remove some mist that was excessive in certain places.
In my camera bag
At the time I always had the 550D with two kit lenses. But today I have gone for a Canon EOS 6D, and on that i have 3 lenses as is Canon EF 24-105mm 1:4 L IS, Canon EF 70-200mm 1:4 L USM and a Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3.
Feedback
The best advise is as with other photography, just be pasient and take you time to study the surroundings and do not be shy to take many photos of the subject to be sure to get at least one that is in focus.
