I walked into a Parisian like coffee cafe following another photographer. On the counter the straws were displayed ready for the next milkshake. While she made her order I asked permission to re-arrange the shape of the display of straws, quickly make a joke to the next in line and focus and shoot.Time

The cafe has strong artificial light and faced with a large window with limited and good natural light giving a balance sufficient for the shot.Equipment
At this time I was using a Nikon D90 and APS Nikkor 18 - 200 mm, hand held.No flash used. Shot in manual.Inspiration

At this time it was early in my photography so I just used my single camera and lens. No bag.Feedback
I was with another photographer and we were both looking for possible interesting shots. Yet she did not see this opportunity mainly as she was occupied in making her own food order. So my best advice is to ensure that you are no distracted and keep a keen focus on possible shots and have your camera pre-ready for the expected lighting so that a quick shot can be taken and so not miss a potentially great shot.
