The view of the night sky over Florida Bay and barrier islands in the Everglades. Taken from Chokoloskee Island as a lightning storm raged over to the right just off frame, lighting up the clouds. The moisture in the air causes the stars and planets to look larger and appear like ping-pong balls full of color; and even though Florida very very rarely gets to see any kind of Aurora, we do get a lot of green and pink airglow.
