Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Basai Wetlands in Gurugram, Haryana, India.

Time

The picture was taken around 10 am in the morning.

Lighting

I had no intenions of clicking a picture like that. Since there were about 25-30 bar headed geese, i tried to experiment with my angles and after a lot of patience i got this perfect moment.

Equipment

This picture is clicked using a Sony alpha a57 and 55-300 sony telephoto 'a mount' lens. This is a handheld shot, no flast or tripod was used.

Inspiration

Like said earlier, i just decided to experiment with my angles and got some fantastic results.

Editing

As ample of light was there, i only cropped the picture a little and no editing was done.

In my camera bag

I nowdays carry two cameras (1 Dslr and 1 slr—p900) with 2-3 lenses and a couple of extra memory cards.

Feedback

Its very important to observe your subject before picturing it. Birding requires a lot of patience to perfect. So take it slow and steady and you will get there gradually.
