Location
I took this photo on Powder Point Bridge in Duxbury, Massachusetts. It is the longest wooden bridge in the Eastern United States, at ~ 1/2 mile.Time
Around 2 pm.Lighting
The entire bay was pea soup fog. Visibility was roughly 100 yards or less.Equipment
I used a Nikon D7200, with a Nikon 18-140mm F3.5-5.6 VR AF-S.Inspiration
I was inspired by many other photographers who have used glass crystals in their photos. While I was driving I noticed the fog out over the bay, and knew if I went to the middle of the bridge I wouldn't be able to see either end of it.Editing
I shot the photo originally as a color photo in RAW, then made it black and white. No elements of the photo were altered in any way, just minor adjustmenets to contrast and exposure. In my camera bag
As of now I have a 10.5mm Nikkor Fisheye, a 70-300mm 4.5-5.6 VR, a 50mm F1.4, and the lens I used for this shot. I also use a mefoto tripod, cabel trigger, and other standard equipment.Feedback
I would suggest making sure that the crystal you are using is spotless. When you pick it up to photograph through it, don't rotate it in any way because your finger prints may then show up in your photo.
