The Old Alexandra Bridge

This used to be a major transportation hub in the Fraser Canyon until a new bridge was constructed. It assisted in old Canadian Pioneers in crossing the Fraser River.

Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken at Alexandra Bridge Provincial Park near Boston Bar BC.
Time
I was driving down to Vancouver Island for the summer and in my previous drives I had pass this park a few times. I decided to stop and stretch my legs and check out this cool bridge. I am sooo glad I did! This was taken in the early afternoon on a very cloudy and moody day.
Lighting
Nothing too particular. I happened to be in the right place at the right time for the clouds to be perfectly moody.
Equipment
I used my Nikon D7000 and Rokinon 14mm manual lens.
Inspiration
I love photography and have for a long time. I never go anywhere without my camera on me and the spot was perfect and framed perfectly. So, I had to take a few photos and this one was my favourite!
Editing
I did do a bit of post-processing. I adjusted the highlights and shadows as well as the vibrance and saturation to make the picture look like how I saw it with my own eyes.
In my camera bag
In my camera backpack I have my D7000, with three lenses, my filters, memory cards, tripod, and battery charger. Can never be too prepared!
Feedback
My biggest advice is take your camera with you every where you go and shoot whatever you want, whenever you want. Practice, practice practice. Learn the settings on your camera and play with them.
