Location
This was taken on St Lucia's Street, in Valletta, Malta, looking down to the Church of St Lucy.Time
This was on a Sunday morning in February, around 10-11 o'clock, so most of the devout members of the public were in church so the streets were pretty empty.Lighting
It was a gorgeous day, and the sun was almost directly overhead, so very few shadows and perfect to take hand-held shots.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon EOS 5D MkIII, with the 24-105 L series lens. No flash or tripod needed.Inspiration
I've always liked perspective, so shots of straight roads or paths have been one of my favourite to take, and the view down the hill to the church seemed perfect (and the person walking across the end of the street, in line with the planters, was just a happy coincidence.Editing
Not a great deal - I used Silver FX pro to convert the picture to black and white, using one of the presets (I can't remember which one though, as it was 5 years ago!). Also, before this, I used LightRoom to adjust a few of the levels, such as exposure, white balance etc.In my camera bag
Just a Canon EOS 5D MkIII, with the 24-105 L series lens (I should have got a longer lens, but hindsight and all that!)Feedback
Just look. Keep your eyes open and look around you. Sometimes the shots will take themselves, like this one, and others may need a bit of work to get.
