T his has to be one of the better light trail shots I've seen. Really well captured. Nicely done.

Great image, have you tried another crop where you lose the lower third of the foreground. Would love to see your other shots of this scene.

Location
The photo was taken in the Italian Dolomites, Passo Giau. The area is close to Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Belluno province, Veneto.Time
I took this shot during the cold winter, exactly the 6 February 2016 at 6.10 pm. I tryed several times to make this shot, because every time the cars stopped in the shelter that you see on the right. Fortunately one came at the right time, and I was able to realize the photo.Lighting
I wanted this image because is a little bit different from the others that you can see from this place. The light trail and the blue hour with the snow, is a winning combination for me.Equipment
This shot was taken using Canon 6 D - Canon 16-35 F4 and Manfrotto Tripod.Inspiration
It was a spontaneous thing, before I was photographing the sunset nearby, and when I saw the way I imagined the picture right away. I made many attempts and one went well, think that to realize this photo it took two and a half minutes of exposure, in all that time many things can happen.Editing
Yes, I used Photoshot to adjust the hue and give some dimension to the snow. I gave details in some area, but overall It was a very simple post production because 3/4 of the photo was already made in the field. In my camera bag
In my bag I have with me my Canon (now I have the 5d mark IV, minimum 2 batteries, 3 or 4 SD, my lenses (Canon 16-35 F2.8 III, Canon 24-70 F4 and Canon 70-200 F4). I love use filters as well, I have many NISI filters, and also some Hoya polarizer. I need the remote control and also my Led Lenser. About Tipod I'm using now the Sirui TX2204 and k20 ball head.Feedback
Certainly, to make a shot like this you need patience, and a bit of luck. First you have to understand how many minutes to keep the shutter open and adjust the parameters accordingly. Being a long exposure is also essential to use a tripod, the camera in bulb mode and a remote control.
