Moment.......
We reached near the cage where Kookaburra was kept. We had some birds food with us. So, we tried to feed it many times. It gave a strange look, which we couldn't understand at that time. After a few try, probably it got too irritated ... with the silly people (us).
It flew to its food bucket and came out with this (meat). It was not interested in having it...but wanted to show the arrogance. It came back and sat in front of us ... gave that strange look again...and this time we got the meaning.
"Peanuts and fruits are for monkeys not for Kookaburra. I'm carnivorous, an arrogant carnivorous". :)

G'day Aarti - great shot! Yes, that's our kookaburra alright. In the wild, they catch snakes, lizards & mice, like your kingfisher with lizard. They are part of that family. They come to visit me! :))
