Location
This photo was taken in Lyon on the slopes of the Croix Rousse hill.
Time
This photo was taken in November at the end of the day around 18h30 after a magnificent day.
Lighting
In fact, the day was really beautiful with a beautiful sun. And in the evening, small clouds arrived. This is what made the sunset, then the blue hour were exceptional. The sky was that evening of all colors.
Equipment
I used my Canon EOS 70D with the Sigma 17-70mn that I adore. I also used my VANGARD tripod. Although on some pictures I also used a filter ND 1000 (filter HOYA screw), this is not the case on this one and I think that is what makes this sky so beautiful.

Inspiration
In fact, I already knew this spot. It is in Lyon the best spot for me to take sunsets and when I saw the weather in the morning, I saw that I will go here. And then, when I saw small clouds arrive at the end of the day, I knew that the sky would certainly be more beautiful. I arrived as always very early and very quickly the beautiful colors arrived and this until the dark night. A wonderful evening !!!!
Editing
I take always mes photos in RAW format and I as always used lightroom. By cons, for these images, I developed a first time in lightroom, then I went into photoshop with a dynamic object. There I copied the object and processed the 2 objects in Camera Raw. The 1st for the sky and the 2nd for the buildings. Then, I used a layer to melt the 2 images between them. I processed the resulting image with layers of settings to fine-tune the tones and colors. And last thing to do in photoshop, I improve the details.
Once, finished my actions in photoshop, I go back to lightroom.
In my camera bag
In my bag, I have as a rule my 5D mark IV gun with a 16-35mn. I also with a 24-70mn in case. I also happen to take in case of need my 70-300mn. I also have filters. HOYA polarizers in 77mn for my 2 objectives and ND (from ND 4 to ND 1000 and degraded filtyres) lee filter. J'ai également bien sur un nécessaire pour nettoyer mes objectifs et mes filtres et un déclencheur.
And I also always with me a tripod. A VANGARD for my night assignments and a small manfrotto when I have to wear it all day. After I also take my 2nd camera a 70D canon when I want to have 2 different focal lengths and it is impossible to change lenses.
Feedback
In fact, for me, it is important to know your camera well and arrive on the spot knowing already the settings to use. Then it is necessary to arrive early. Personally, I always arrive 1 or even 2 hours before. It also allowed me to make some great shots well before sunset. And nice photos ...
