Great job on capturing the moment. It looks straight out of the movie "the Revenant"!

Fog Amongst the Trees Challenge winner right here. Awesome shot, nice contrast between the ground and the trees and the sun peeking through. Very nice shot!

Location
I have taken this photo at "the Veluwe" a Dutch national park.Time
It was late in the morning on a wonderful winters day.Lighting
The light was great! When we were driving to the park I saw the beautiful hazy sunlight coming through the melting snowy forests, I couldn't wait to park the car and shoot some wonderful photos!Equipment
I have a Lumix DMC-TZ60, all my photos are taken with this little miracle of a camera... it shows that you don't need an expensive camera with a lot of equipment to make good quality photos. The best thing about this camera is that it has a good Leica lens and it is very easy to carry with you because it practically fits in your back pocket.Inspiration
When I woke up and opened the curtains, I saw a wonderful snowy world... We decided to go to a Dutch national park to have a nice winter walk and I couldn't wait to park the car when we saw the melting snow lightened up by the winters sun.Editing
I did very little post-processing in Lightroom. I cropped the photo and played a little bit with the color intensity to create some more depth. In my camera bag
I don't have any equipment in my bag (yet) I am a beginning photographer and I am learning to use a camera, to look for the good light, composition and point of view. One day when I know how to use and set the camera well enough, I will start to think about a bag filled with technical things instead of the need to understand photography first...Feedback
To capture an image like this is very simple, just look around you and see the beautiful world we are living in. When I walk through a forest or anywhere else, I allways look around me very carefully to see the details of wich the world around me is build up. If you look at a subject to photograph, you have to try to realise what you want to achieve, Try to find the good light, the right point of view and the best composition... And most of all, take more shots with slightly different settings so you can choose the best one, once you got home and opened your laptop, the magic of today's world begins... I allways crop it later into the size and composition I like best. Crop the photo in different ways, so you can choose the best one the next day when you can have a fresh look at them!
