Behind The Lens

Location

I am a retired American expat living in Japan. One of my favorite ramen shops in Koriyama is Ja Ja Maru. I was sitting at the counter waiting for my 600 grams of spicy tsukemen when I shot this photo of the noodles cooking in the pot over the fire.

Time

Finally got our seat around 8 p.m. after a 30 minute wait. This place is always.

Lighting

Natural lighting here.

Equipment

Hand held using an IPhone 6.

Inspiration

I enjoy looking for different angles and what I call a shot within a shot.

Editing

No post processing, just straight out of the IPhone.

In my camera bag

I use a canon mirrorless most of the time.
