This photo was taken from the middle of an intersection while my boyfriend watched for traffic. I couldn't miss the opportunity of getting this picture of the new Freedom Tower. I also feel it looks like it has a reflection of one of the twin towers in the building itself. Yes I realize this is impossible but gives the photo an extra meaning to me.

I thought that the way the shadows hit the Freedom tower made the photo very insightful to its meaning. If you look closely at the tower itself many people can see different things some see a cross, some see another tower, I like to just enjoy it's beauty and the purpose of the towers strength.Equipment
I used my Nikon 3300 without anything too special I actually stood in the middle of the street while my boyfriend watched traffic.Inspiration
The 9/11 memorial was just so touching that I felt a picture of what was created to show our strength was important.Editing
I changed the picture to black and white and made it very sharp. In my camera bag
The most important thing I take with me is my creative eye. I know it's cheesy to say but it's the most important thing to me the camera is just the tool if you can't see the shot the camera is useless. I also like to carry my 35mm and 85mm lenses for my Nikon 3300 and extra batteries.Feedback
I believe that moments like this are all around us we just have to open up our minds and not just walk past them. I find buildings fascinating and finding a street far enough away to get a straight shot is key. But make sure you are cautious and pay attention to your surroundings for traffic.
