Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo from below, just past HMS Belfast.

Time

We were coming to the end of our day out in London so it would've been around 7-8PM, I remember looking out across the Thames and thinking "that's so beautiful"

Lighting

I didn't do anything fancy to the lighting honestly. (There isn't a lot you can do on a phone). I adjusted the aperture until the preview made me smile! Then just took the shot.

Equipment

The camera on my smartphone, a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. I have an old Sony NEX-5 kicking around but didn't have it with me.

Inspiration

Literally just the view itself. As someone who lives in the UK you don't necessarily view London as beautiful. That all changes when you're there.

Editing

No.

In my camera bag

Generally just my Smartphone and occasionally my NEX-5 if I know I'm definitely going to take photos.

Feedback

Take your time, patience is definitely important. I must've taken about 30-40 shots before I was actually happy with this one. Don't be afraid to whip out your phone either! Look what it can produce - just don't use the zoom, that digital zoom will ruin anything.
