This was the first time I had ever seen the Milky Way so clearly, from the bright gas clouds to the nebulae. It was a truly life changing experience. Capturing this image was surprisingly difficult. First I had to navigate through a lonely cemetery in the middle of nowhere, then climb over way too many treacherous boulders along the lake shore, without breaking my camera gear or my skull. Finally I got to the perfect spot and was able to enjoy the spectacular view.
