I'm not too fond of black and white....unless you know how to dose the light, and unfortunately many don't.....you do and in an excellent manner. Jolly good shot! I'd love to be there

Beautiful black and white shot. The light and shadows work so well to create a quiet mood. The clouds complete the scene. Really lovely all around.

Congratulations Kevin. This is the winning shot in my Town or City Squares challenge. It is a great black and white image taken at the perfect time of day to get the shadows right, across the square and on the buildings. The use of a widescreen aspect ratio ensures that the atmosphere of the typical al fresco European cafe lifestyle is captured - it simply takes the viewer there. The perspective of the street takes one down the road following the couple strolling into the distance. An interesting sky completes a very pleasing composition. I love it !! Thanks for entering.
