I do like Milky Way shots and the mountains give a nice sense of perspective. Nice scene with the water in the foreground. Did you try other camera settings? e.g. lower ISO (less sensitivity but less grain), F8 (smaller aperture, sharper image) and varying shutter speeds eg 15, 20, 30 sec etc to control exposure and bring out as many stars as possible. Cheers.

Anyone who has been to the shore of Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park, MT, has enjoyed the gorgeous round rocks that make up the shoreline.

The view from Maligne Lake is a stunning display.

The historic Prince of Whales Hotel was all lit up...much like the sky!
