This Photo was taken in my front yard. I just set my settings to shoot some of the wild life that surrounds me in my every day life were I live In White Hills,AZ. when this humming bird just showed up at the moment I was ready. I consider myself a Amateur photographer and had been self taught from all my followers on Viewbug, and for that I thank you all.Time
This shot was taken around 9:30 AM in the morning.Lighting
Lighting is one of my biggest areas that I need to learn, I was lucky on this shot the sun was against my back lighting up the subject just rite.Equipment
I been shooting with my new Nikon D3300 with the nikkor 55-200 mm lens. No tripod, flash or filters were used.Inspiration
This shot is one of those that, if I did not have my camera at all times I would have never been able to share this shot. I learned from Viewbug never leave your camera behind no matter were you go.Editing
This shot is all natural except for the cropping to bring the subject closer. In my camera bag
I have a beginner bundle for most. My camera a Nikon D3300 that came with a 18-55 mm and a nikkor 55-200 mm lens.also I carry a fisheye lens and macro lens.I have three 256 gb sd cards, 3 batteries, with a tripodFeedback
As a beginner the only advice I could give is that I just shoot as many shots as my camera can shoot when I see a subject. Sometimes hundreds of photos of one subject with different settings to maybe only get one shot like this humming bird photo that makes it worth while. This humming bird shot was more luck than skill so I believe a little luck goes far with skill. Thank you Viewbug and all my followers you all make me want to strive to some day be a professional. I love my new hobby.
