Location
The photo was taken in a friend's apartment in Prague. Was going there just to see the available lighting at night, but turned into my first boudoir shoot.Time
It was around 9pm in the evening when we started.Lighting
The lighting used was only what was available there. Only living room table lamps. I shoot without flash and use only available lighting that is on site.Equipment
I used a Nikon D5200 with a 35mm 1.8 lens, no flash, no tripod.Inspiration
While we were sitting there talking about potential future shoots, I said to my friend that the setting right now with her seemed a bit classic hollywood. The apartment is actually from the belle epoch style. I felt when she lit her cigarette that she reminded me a bit of Lauren Bacall and if I could take a few shots. Well those few shots turned into several hours of shooting.Editing
Since I only used available light for the evening shots I had increased the is so in post processing I removed the noise.In my camera bag
In my bag it's two lenses, a 35mm and a 50mm. I also always have a lense brush and cleanING solution and a back up memory card. Quite sparse but I don't like to be encumbered.Feedback
I think too many people try to force the subject into the scene or the scene into the subject. In this case we were talking about shoots that were varied, but the moment presented itself. You have to be patient and look for opportunities around you that fit the moment and take advantage of it.
