The Banqueting Hall, Desmond Castle, Newcastle West, taken from the court yard of the castle. This is a 15th century Norman structure, built on a much older structure, dating from the late 11th or early 12th century. There is free public access to the hall and castle, for the public, during the summer months. It overlooks the main square in the town.
