Location
This particular photo was captured on a wildlife management area in Northwest Florida known ads Escribano Point.Time
As the sun set in it's final path for the day around 5:30 or so.Lighting
Nothing too special to mention other than this was taken in what a lot of photographers refer to as the golden hour. When the sun is in that optimal point in the sky which casts soft, warm golden light.Equipment
Well I must admit this was taken with my Samsung S5....Inspiration
The light, the mood. My friend and I had the peninsula to ourselves when I took this shot. Once the sun went down we had to get out of there because the bugs got so bad.Editing
I sharpened the image and de-noised it a little in Adobe LR. Other than than not much has been done to the image. In my camera bag
I typically shoot with a Canon 7D Mark ii, however with this shot I used my Samsung Galaxy 5 phone due to the fact my camera was set up taking time lapse of the sunset. I try to be very minimalist in my photography. I feel that less is more in many applications. I carry a Mountain Smith Lumbar Pack with the bare essentials. Lens cloth, rocket pump. Lens caps, extra tripod clip, granola bar, water etc.Feedback
As I previously stated this shot was taken with a Samsung Galaxy Phone on auto so in other words the camera was doing the thinking for me. Other than the way I composed the shot I didn't have to do much. With that being said composition is everything. Bear in mind the best camera is the one you have with you. You don't need the latest and greatest camera or lens (although it can help) it is the eyes and mind behind the camera that makes or breaks the photograph.
