I took this photo in my bedroom while my kids were running around right behind the camera.Time
I took this photo as the sun was starting to set outside. I live in Arizona and I remember the feel of the heat on the window glass.Lighting
I used all natural light in the image and I remember the sun shining so brightly in my eyes I had to close them between shots. I hope you cant tell in the final photo that the light was blinding me!Equipment
I used my Canon Markii with a 50 mm lens and my trusty tripod and remote. (You can see the remote in my hand that is resting on the window sill!)Inspiration
I had just lost my baby and was using my photography as a way to deal with the grief. It was too hot and I was too depressed to go outside so I just shot some photos inside.Editing
These type of levitation photos are extremely easy to edit. I just used a layer mask to mask out the chair I was laying on.In my camera bag
I shoot all my self-portraits with my 50mm!Feedback
My advice would be that even if you're sad or even if you can't go outside or even if you think you can't edit something like this, do it anyway. There is always a way.
