Behind The Lens

Location

Taken in the Mara Game reserve, Kenya,

Time

Around 6am, the sun had just come up and we were exploring the area

Lighting

Early morning the land is often foggy with until it warms up and the sun burns off the mist. This is a great time to shoot atmospheric scenes

Equipment

Shot on a Nikon D810 using a 200-500mm lens at 250mm 1/1000sec f4.0 iso 500

Inspiration

I love the early mornings on safari. The light and warmth struggling to get through the dusty land. The animals waking up with the land.I tried to convey this in the image.

Editing

No post processing

In my camera bag

I use 2 camera bodies, both full frame. A 200-400 f4. 18-35 2.8 and a 60mm macro. I also have a back up 28-300mm

Feedback

Make the sacrifice and get up early
