Taken in Western Australia this studio photo is of my gorgeous daughter modelling for me before she flies the coop. My "studio" in this instance, being a beginner, was my spare bedroom.Time
The photo was taken around midday capturing the natural light. As a newbie I don't have any light sources yet.Lighting
I had no lighting and just used the natural light streaming in through the window.Equipment
Here I used my Canon on a tripod with a white sheet as a backdrop. I had her sitting on a little stool.Inspiration
As a beginner I was very excited to take some pictures of my gorgeous daughter since she is leaving home soon and I may never get the opportunity again. I took heaps of photos of her in the one day in various poses, this being just one of them.Editing
As I love creating stunning pictures in Photoshop, I edited the picture and added this background, toning down the natural light to blend in with the night light of the background, giving it a bit of a mysterious feel.In my camera bag
As a beginner I only have my Canon camera, 25mm and 50mm lenses, a micro lense and a tripod. I still make use of a lot of things in and around the house for backdrops and lighting and hope to systematically buy the equipment I need.Feedback
My advice is to keep playing, especially on photoshop. The better you get to know what photoshop can do, the better you can create beautiful pictures with your photos....if you are into creative photography. Keep on keeping on and don't give up.
