Location
This photo was taken at my favourite spot of mine at Western Inlet, near the Fishing Village of Stanley, Tasmania, Australia. At the time it was low tide with a very large tidal flow.Time
This is one of my favourite time of the day for taking photo's. It was taken 1 hour prior to Sunset, where the reflection of the sun beams on the water puddles.Lighting
I wanted this image to reflect the setting sun in as many puddles of water as possible. Taking these photo's looking into the sun is difficult and I took approximately 10 photo's before I had the right camera settings. It should be noted that Tasmanian sunsets are usually unbelievable and make great shots.Equipment
This photograph was taken on a Nikon D3000, with a standard lens and tripod. Also used ND filter so as to gain extra exposure time. Aperture at F8, which seems to be the sweet spot with this camera, exposure time of 1/1000 second and 3 photo's taken at -2, 0 and +2.Inspiration
I have only been taken photographs since March 2016 as my interest gained in this area. Sunsets are a favourite time of mine, at a time to chill out and relax and take in the nature.Editing
Yes I did you post-processing, at the time of taking this photo I was learning how to use Lightroom. I took 3 raw images at -2, 0 and +2 and combined in HDR and some basic changes and some minor cropping. In my camera bag
I do it pretty cheaply, back when I photographed this scene I had Nikon D3000 and a range of ND Filters and a $40 tripod. Now I have purchased a second hand Nikon D90 with Graduated Filter, Polarised Filter and a variable ND Filter extra batteries and a borrowed 2 Kg tripod.Feedback
