Location
I did shoot the picture during a workshop I gave. The story behind the cables is, that during WWII they were used to protect the harbour of Antwerp from submarines entering the rivier. It is taken at Nummer Een in the Netherlands.Time
Taken in the middle of the day, while sun was peeping a little bit through the clouds.Lighting
When the sun peeped through the clouds, it gave me a short window of the needed and beautifull light I was waiting for. In combination with the rising water I creatief the right composition during that window.Equipment
Nikon D800, Nikon 24-70 f/2,8 lens, tripod, Lee landscape polarizer, Lee 6 stop ND filterInspiration
I just saw it and took it !Editing
The picture is cropped and slightly adjusted in LightroomIn my camera bag
I always carry my D800 and D5. My Nikon 24-70 f/2,8, my Nikon 70-200 f/2,8 and my set of Lee filtersFeedback
Naar the sea, it's always a game between the right light and the tide. Most of the time I look for the right tide at sunset or sunrise, but even in the middle of the day with the right clouds I can find the setting that works for me. I also use an app called photopills to help me with sunrise or sunset !
